Scarlet-chested Parrot (Neophema splendida)

Colour: Green, yellow underside, blue on wings and face. Male has a scarlet/red chest and more blue head.

Lifespan: 10 years

Sexing: Dimorphic, the male is identified by a scarlet chest.

Distribution: Inland Australia

Habitat: Dry woodland and grassland areas

Threats: Secure in wild & common in captivity
